Gray Willow Lined Carry Basket

A gray-washed willow basket brings useful storage and a softer color to a living space. Its oval outline, woven sides and cotton lining make it a natural fit for folded throws, spare cushions or dry household textiles. The handle detail gives the basket a recognizable carrying shape, while the muted finish works with light upholstery, wood floors and simple shelving without introducing a strong new color.

Choose the size according to the items you want to gather, rather than using one large basket for everything. A small basket can keep a modest textile collection together beside a chair, while the larger options offer a broader footprint for bulkier pieces. The cotton lining sits between your belongings and the willow weave. It does not make the basket waterproof, so liquids and damp laundry should be kept elsewhere.

The available external sizes are 40 x 27 x 31 cm, 46 x 36 x 36 cm and 55 x 42 x 41 cm. Measure the intended floor area or shelf and leave enough room to reach around the basket. The oval shape narrows toward its ends, so a rigid rectangular object may need more clearance than the maximum width suggests. Height should be checked against the surrounding furniture, especially if you plan to tuck the basket under a console.

The gray finish and pale lining offer a quiet backdrop for everyday belongings. Fold a throw loosely rather than pressing it tightly into the base, and keep the weight balanced when filling the basket. Small variations in willow thickness, finish and overall measurements can occur in a woven natural product. One basket is supplied in the size you select; photographs with several sizes show the range rather than an included set.

The oval shape is particularly suited to a freestanding arrangement beside a chair, where the curved ends can feel less box-like than a rectangular bin. Place the basket close enough to reach but outside the main walking route. A folded textile can sit just below the rim, keeping the lining visible while leaving the woven silhouette clear.

A lined basket still needs ventilation and a dry location. Do not pack freshly damp textiles into it or set it against a surface where condensation collects. If the lining is removed, avoid using the exposed willow for delicate loose fabrics that could catch on a strand. Return the lining carefully so it sits evenly rather than pulling it tight over the rim.
